National Symposium & Seminars organized

  • National seminar on GM crops prospects and isssues was conducted on 17th  & 18th March    2014.
  • National seminar on New Frontiers in agricultural Biotechnology was conducted on 3rd  March 2015 
  • NAIP sponsored Training Programme (15 days) on “Bioinformatics and its Applications in Agriculture”  was organized from May 2nd -16th, 2011. 
  • NAIP sponsored Training Programme (15 days) on “Bioinformatics and its Applications in Agriculture”  was organized from May 2nd -16th, 2009.
  • National Training on  "Techniques and applications of biotechnology to combat climate change" was organized from September 18th -25th, 2009.
  • Workshop on "Kerala Biotechnology Policy and Biodiversity  Conservation’. ‘GM crops – Food security and environmental integrity" was conducted on April 30, 2009.
  • Annual Task Force meeting for Women in Science' was conducted on August 31st - September 1st ,  2009.
  • Symbiohort – 2005, National Symposium on "Biotechnological Interventions for Improvement of Horticultural Crops – Issues and Strategies" was organized from  January10th - 12th, 2005.

  • ICAR sponsored Winter School (21 days) on "Advances in micropropagation of Horticulture Crops" was organized from December 1st - 21st, 2011.
  • ICAR sponsored Winter School (21 days) on “Bioinformatics and its Applications in Agriculture”  was organized from December1st -21st, 2009.
  • ICAR sponsored Winter school (21 days) on "Identification and cloning of defense genes in plants" was organized from January 8th – 28th, 2009.

  • Summer training on techniques in Molecular Biology and Plant Tissue Culture was conducted from 10th – 30th June 2013.
  • Sponsored training by Planning Board, GoK. Two month training programme on Micropropogation of banana was conducted from 2nd December 2013 to 31st January 2014.
  • Sponsored training by Planning Board, GoK. Two month training programme on Hardening Micropropogated banana was conducted from 3rd January 2014 to 28th February 2014.
