Dr. V S Sujatha has 32 years of teaching and research experience. As undergraduate and post graduate teacher she handled several courses in plantation crops and spices in the field of crop production and improvement. She guided nine MSc and two PhD students and served as member of advisory committee for 30 students. She has completed thirteen projects as principal investigator. Serving as Project Coordinator, Plantation Crops & Spices, Kerala Agricultural University from 2008. She has developed two package of practices recommendations of KAU in black pepper and released one black pepper hybrid- Vijay. She has published more than 40 research articles. She is the officer in charge of Black Pepper Reseach Unit working under the Department of Planation crops and Spices where DASD, GoI accredited nursery with four star rating is functioning.
