Dr. Meera V. Menon

Dr. Meera V. Menon is the Principal Investigator of the All India Co-ordinated Research project on Weed Management in Kerala Agricultural University. She has been working in the project for the last five years. She has also worked on soil fertility management. She handles courses on weed management and soil fertility management. Her research projects have focused on cultivation and utilization of under exploited plants, crop-weather relations and drought mitigating agro techniques. She is currently working on the management of problematic weeds in rice as well as on non-chemical methods of weed control in crops. She has authored 35 research papers in peer reviewed journals and has written a chapter in a book on weed science which is recommended as a text book for post graduate students in Agronomy. She has been functioning as the Editor of the prestigious Journal of Tropical Agriculture of the Kerala Agricultural University since 2018.
