Mrs. Rekha C.R has acquired her BSc (Ag) and M.Sc (Hort) from Kerala Agricultural University, Vellanikkara, Thrissur.  She has nearly 5 years’ experience in various projects of KAU as Skilled Assistant in Tissue culture, Research Assistant and Senior Research Fellow and has 1 year experience as Teaching Assistant in an Add on course under Calicut University, 1.5 year experience as Vocational Instructor under VHSE.  2 year experience as Farm Officer at KAU.  9 years of experience as Agricultural Officer in the Department of Agriculture development & farmers welfare, Kerala.  She secured a Post Graduate Diploma in Plant Health Management from NIPHM, Hyderabad.  Received best research article award in National Seminar on “changing scenario in the production system of Horticultural crops “conducted by South Indian Horticultural Research.  Joined as Assistant Professor during February 2021.  She is the farm in charge of seed production unit of Dept. of Vegetable Science.
