Mrs Simmy A M

Mrs. Simmy A. M. acquired her B.Sc. (Ag.) in the year 2002 and M.Sc. (Horticulture), specialised in Pomology and Floriculture in the year 2015, from Kerala Agricultural University, Vellanikkara, Thrissur. She is the holder of Kerala Agricultural University merit scholarships during BSc (Ag) and MSc (Hort) programmes.

She started her career in 2007 as Vocational Teacher in Agriculture in the Department of General Education, VHSE wing, Kerala. She had conducted several career seminars for students  and parental counselling sessions. She had prepared several educational videos for the e-vidhyalayam you tube channel of Vocational Higher Secondary Education Department. She had conducted several training programmes on value addition of fruits and vegetables and integrated pest and disease management, as a part of capacity building of farmers,  through which she strengthened her agricultural extension service to the farming community in her jurisdiction apart from regular departmental duties.

Joined as Assistant Professor in AICRP on Floriculture, College of Agriculture, Vellanikkara, Kerala Agricultural University. Thrissur, on 01/09/2021. CO-PI of different projects of AICRP on germplasm conservation, crop management, crop improvement and post harvest technology and value addition. Conducted training on value addition of fruits and vegetables as a part of capacity building of farmers at, Krishibhavan, Perumbavoor.
