Mrs. Zahida P. M.

Mrs Zahida P. M. acquired her B.Sc. (Ag.) in the year 1999 and M.Sc. (Horticulture) specialised in Pomology and Floriculture in the year 2002, from Kerala Agricultural University, Vellanikkara, Thrissur. she is the holder of Kerala Agricultural University merit scholarship during BSc (Ag) and MSc (Hort) programmes . she is also the winner of Inter University Basket Ball Tournament held at Annamalai University , Tamilnadu.

She started her career in 2004 as Agricultural officer in the State Department of Agriculture, Kerala.in the Department of Agricultural Development and Farmers’ Welfare, Kerala. she secured a Post Graduate Diploma in Plant Health Management with a project work on “Ecofriendly management of moth and butterfly pod borers in cowpea -Vigna unguiculata vars sesquipedalis". She had setup a plant health clinic in the krishibhavan,   through which she strengthened her agricultural extension service to the farming community in her jurisdiction apart from regular departmental duties.

Joined as Assistant Professor in the Department of Fruit Science, College of Agriculture, Vellanikkara, Kerala Agricultural University. Thrissur, from 27/02/2021. She took an online seminar on the Cultivation and management aspects of Garcinia fruit crop, in the webinar series conducted by the Department of Fruit Science. She also prepared a video on the different propagation methods in fruit crops as a part of extension activity. She is in charge of the revolving fund project of KAU and planting material production under state paln scheme implemented by the Department of Fruit Science.
