Dr. Nair Sunil Appukuttan

Dr. Nair Sunil Appukuttan has completed B.Sc. (Agriculture) from Dr Punjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, College of Agriculture, Nagpur (Maharashtra) in 1997 and MSc. Horticulture (Vegetable Crops) in 1999 from Dr.YS Parmar University of Horticulture and forestry (YSPUHF) Nauni, Solan Himachal Pradesh. During this tenure he was awarded JRF by ICAR for pursuing Masters during 1997-1999. During 2010 he was selected as Farm Officer in KAU and worked till 2018. From 2018 to 2021 he has pursued doctoral studies as an in-service candidate in YSPUHF, College of Horticulture, Nauni, Solan and was awarded PhD in Vegetable Science. In 2021 he has joined KAU as Assistant Professor in Dept. of Plantation, Spices, Medicinal and Aromatic crops, College of Agriculture Vellanikkara.
Experience
Two years of experience in teaching, seven years in non-teaching cadre (Farm Officer), eight years in research activities and two years in extension activities in the field of horticulture

Currently guiding two M.Sc. students and one Ph.D. scholar
