Dr. E.B. Gilsha Bai obtained her B.Tech. Agricultural Engineering degree and her M Tech and PhD with Soil and Water Engineering as a major field from Kerala Agricultural University (KAU). She joined as an Assistant Professor in Kerala Agricultural University in 2008. Presently working in the Department of Agricultural Engg, College of Agriculture, Vellanikkara, KAU, and involved in teaching under graduate students. Dr. E.B. Gilsha Bai worked as a scientist in the AICRP on Water Management at Agronomic Research Station, Chalakudy, for six years from 2010. During the period, she led a team to develop the technology “SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ORGANIC FERTIGATION,” which gained an Indian patent for Kerala Agricultural University and the Indian Institute of Water Management in 2021. She was actively involved in research and extension activities in the field of Irrigation Water Management during the years at Agronomic Research Station, Chalakudy. She served as a Subject Matter Specialist (Agricultural Engineering) at Krishi Vigyan Kendra Palakkad from 2019 to 2023 and was involved in various extension activities. She handled two state plan projects by the Govt. of Kerala as Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigator. She was actively involved in teaching and handled courses in the College of Climate Change and Environmental Science, and the College of Forestry at KAU from 2009 onwards. She has published 10 research papers and many popular articles. Publications: Journal articles:
