Ms. Prasanthi K., is working as Assistant Professor of Agronomy specializing in soil, plant health and sustainable crop production under changing climate. She has conducted research on on fodder maize and different legume intercropping system as a part of post-graduation programme and now pursuing her doctoral research on “Rhizosphere engineering for nutrient use efficiency and water stress management in okra. She has authored 3 research publications and many popular articles in this area. She has conducted 30 Frontline Demonstrations during her tenure as Subject Matter Specialist in KVK Malappuram. She has served as the Principal Investigator of the State Horticultural Mission project on “Front line demonstration in organic management of Edayur chilli” in 25 farmer’s field in Malappuram District. She has worked as course coordinator for Integrated nutrient management training programme for more than 300 fertilizer dealers and also actively involved in the activities of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Malappuram for disseminating technologies to grass root level farmers through capacity building programmes and various extension activities
