Dr. Indulekha V.P.

Dr. Indulekha V.P. is an Assistant Professor of Agronomy focusing on crop production technologies, weed utilization, and water management. Her doctoral thesis was centered on the management and utilization of water hyacinth. She has authored 6 research articles, 4 seminar proceedings, 12 popular articles and one book focusing on weed management, tuber cultivation and related topics. She has five years of experience in extension services during her tenure as subject matter specialist at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Wayanad. She has conducted frontline demonstrations covering 200 acres of farmers’ fields on drone technology in rice cultivation in Wayanad district, showcasing her commitment to implementing innovative agricultural practices. She has served as the Principal Investigator for the NICRA (National Innovations in Climate Resilient Agriculture) project in Wayanad, and State Plan project on ‘Crop intensification in rice fallows using pulses’ and actively participated in Cluster Frontline Demonstrations under NFSM and various capacity-building programmes.
