Dr Pradeepkumar T.

Dr Pradeepkumar.T was born on 31/05/1965 at Tellicherry, Kerala. He obtained his PhD degree in Horticulture from IARI, New Delhi in 1994 and started his career as Assistant Professor at Kerala Agricultural University in 1996. Presently he is heading the department of Vegetable Science and serving as Director of Planning, KAU. Dr Pradeepkumar.T has experience of more than 23 years in horticultural research, teaching and extension at state and national level. He has developed 6 hybrids of different crops viz, water melon (Seedless types), salad cucumber (Parthenocarpic type) and ridge gourd. He has supervised 6 M.Sc. and 3 PhD students. He is the recipient of KrishiVijnan award for the best agricultural scientist instituted by Govt. of Kerala during 2015 and Harbhajan Singh Award by ISVS in 1995. He is also a fellow of International Society of Noni Science, Chennai in the year 2018. He has published 65 research papers, 10 books, 16 book chapters and 40 popular articles. The Indian Society of Vegetable Science has honoured Dr PradeepkumarT with ISVS fellowship in year 2016. He is also awarded fellowship of Indian Academy of Horticultural Science in 2019 and fellowship of the Indian Society of spices in 2020.
