Mrs. Sapheera C.P

Mrs. Sapheera C.P acquired her B.Sc. (Ag.) and M.Sc. (Horticulture) from Kerala Agricultural University, Vellanikkara, Thrissur.

She started her career in 2009 as Agricultural officer in the State Department of Agriculture, Kerala. During her 12 years of service in Department of Agriculture, she secured a Post Graduate Diploma in Plant Health Management with a project work on “ Impact of insecticides on natural enemies, rice stem borer and leaf roller in rice crop during late second crop season 2014 in Nannambra Panchayath , Malappuram District” and secured an OGPA of 8.55 from NIPHM Hyderabad and during 2019 she updated herself as Certified Farm Adviser  in spices from MANAGE Hyderabad. She had set up a Plant Health Clinic at krishibhavan Thenhipalam during 2015 and successfully run a Plant Health Clinic at krishibhavan Kottappady during the period from 2017-2021,through which she strengthened her Agricultural Extension service to the farming community in her jurisdiction apart from regular departmental duties.

She joined Kerala Agricultural University as Assistant Professor (Horticulture) Department of Post Harvest Technology, College of Agriculture, Vellanikkara in  February 2021. She has given an  on -farm training on post-harvest management of fruit crops to farmers of Krishibhavan Ayyambuzha through Farmer Field School.  In April 2021 she has done a Facebook live  programme titled “Value added products suitable for FIGs” conducted by RATTC, Vyttilla as part of BPKP scheme of  Department of Agriculture. She has delivered an online training on Processing of fruit crops conducted by CTI, Mannuthy  in May 2021 .

In August 2021 she joined in Department of fruit science and taken charge of College orchard and academic activities. She is offering Undergraduate and post-graduation courses in the field of Fruit Science and continuing in the Department of Fruit Science.
